THE PROBLEM:
The Petersen Art Center lacked a consistent presence on social media and in the local community. Their platforms were underutilized, with minimal advertising and irregular posting. Student work was seldom featured, and there was little to no communication with their audience, limiting engagement and awareness of the studio’s offerings and events.
THE SOLUTION:
I developed and implemented a comprehensive social media strategy to elevate Petersen Art Center's online presence and community engagement. By posting consistently across posts, reels, and stories, I ensured a steady stream of content that highlighted the studio's welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. I actively engaged with followers by responding to direct messages, liking comments, and reposting student work when tagged, fostering a sense of community and connection.
PETERSEN ART CENTER
Petersen Art Center is a creative hub in Salt Lake City, offering pottery, drawing, and painting classes for artists of all skill levels. Known for its welcoming and community-focused environment, the studio provides a space for individuals to explore their creativity, learn new techniques, and connect with fellow artists.
SUCCESS:
In just 1.5 months, I significantly increased Petersen Art Center's online visibility and engagement. The Instagram account grew by over 100 followers, with a 2,081% increase in accounts reached, a 1,023% rise in accounts engaged, a 513% increase in engagement and a 28.9% boost in follows.
Meta advertising campaigns contributed to some of the stats above and averaged 10,590 views and 184 link clicks, effectively promoting limited-time deals and ongoing monthly art classes. These efforts not only strengthened the studio's digital presence but also attracted a broader audience to its offerings.
As a result of these efforts, Petersen Art Center reached over 300 enrolled students for the first time in over a year.
